1. Carburizing treatment
Carburizing is the first step in the heat treatment of camshafts. It aims to increase the carbon content on the surface by infiltrating carbon atoms into the surface of the workpiece at high temperature, thereby improving hardness and wear resistance. KORBOR uses high-quality low-carbon alloy steel as the substrate, and uses a precisely controlled carburizing furnace to ensure that carbon atoms penetrate evenly to the predetermined depth, while avoiding excessive changes in the internal structure, laying a solid foundation for subsequent quenching. During the carburizing process, KORBOR uses an advanced computer control system to monitor the temperature, atmosphere and carbon potential in the furnace in real time to ensure the uniformity and depth consistency of the carburized layer, which is the prerequisite for high-precision camshaft manufacturing.
2. Quenching treatment
Quenching is a key step to quickly cool the carburized camshaft so that its surface obtains a high-hardness martensitic structure. KORBOR uses advanced oil quenching or water quenching technology to accurately set the cooling rate and medium according to material properties and design requirements to achieve an ideal balance between hardness and toughness. 3. Tempering treatment
Tempering is to eliminate quenching stress, stabilize the organization, and improve the toughness and fatigue resistance of the camshaft.
